About LamFlex

Futuramik Group’s roots go back to 1958 when Futuramik Industries was founded as a small thermoset compression and transfer molder in Hartford, Connecticut. During the 70’s, Futuramik pioneered the process of injection molding thermosets and in 1983, we expanded our processes and equipment capabilities to include injection molding of thermoplastics. In 1999, we further expanded to include extrusions and laminates.

In addition to our molding capabilities, we have also developed and/or acquired a number of proprietary product lines, including Linvar storage bins, LAM Technologies’ LAM-Flex™ laminates, LAM gaming products, Futuramik rail system components, sewing machine carrying cases, caps and closures.

Maintaining our reputation for being a cost effective producer of high quality components for numerous industries has further lead us to establish equity interests with molders in the South and the Northeast in order to be closer to our customers, take advantage of lower utility and freight rates and bulk buying opportunities.

While we take great pride in our longevity and success, we also recognize that the process of continuous improvement is critical to remaining a cost effective manufacturing force. After more than 50 years of building strong customer relationships and continually updating and improving our capabilities, Futuramik Group has grown into one of the largest multi-service plastic processors in the eastern United States

For over 55 years, LAM Technologies has provided expert advice and high quality products to the global engraving and signage industries. Originally named Tectonic Industries, the company supplied eyeglass frames to the international optical industry in addition to a product line of laminated sheets for the engraving and sign industry.

In 1996, the eyeglass division was sold resulting in the formation of Merritt Industries, which continued the production of plastic laminating sheets. In 1998, the company was renamed LAM Technologies and was subsequently purchased by Futuramik in 2001.

LAM-Flex™ is the registered trademark of LAM Technologies with a comprehensive range of plastic laminates used throughout the global engraving and signage industries. Manufactured from the highest quality ABS/Acrylic/ Modified Acrylic and Foils, our plastic processes are capable of creating any color combination of caps and cores in a wide range of volumes. Any colors not displayed within the LAM-Flex Collection will be quoted separately.
